Bring on the New Year!

January 4, 2021

Happy New Year! I cannot believe that it is finally 2021! The past year has felt like an eternity and some how not long enough! 2020 has taught me so much and I am incredibly grateful (you can read more about that on my Instagram). With the new year in full swing I thought that I might pop on here and share some of my goals for the up coming year. I tend to set small, more attainable goals. I find that if I just go all in first time around I don't accomplish them. I enjoy building on them throughout the year and seeing my progress come together!

My 2021 Goals

Goal #1: Re-evaluate my five year plan. If I'm being honest, this is months over due! Since Covid- 19 a lot has changed! Some of my interests, I've added a history minor onto my degree and so much more. This year I really want and need to sit down and look at where I want to be in the near future; as well as what I would like to have accomplished.

Goal #2: Take control of my digestive health. This is something that I have struggled with for years! And while I do my best to take care of myself in this department, I have really struggled this past year. I used to have flare ups quite often when I was younger, but I obtained good control over it in two previous years (2018-2019). I had minimal flare ups, and when I did I could always find the root of the problem. But this past year I had really struggled with my digestive health and had more flare ups than I would like to admit. I am aiming to learn to manage it better this year!

Goal #3: Get active 5 times a week! Whether it's a 30 minute walk before online classes, or a 3 hour bike ride. This year I want to get active at least 5 times a week. With Covid-19 this past year, I cut myself some slack in the exercise department and focused more on my mental health; but this year I truly want to make the conscious effort to move my body!

Goal #4: Be on my phone less. I feel like this is such a cliché goal, but if I'm being honest pre- Covid I was not on my phone very often throughout the day. I have always believed that it is important to be present and in the moment. It can be so easy getting caught up in the distractions of your phone and I am striving to get back to the amount I was once on it!

Goal #5: Do more of what makes me happy! This past year was filled with much discipline and many sacrifices. Now that it is 2021 I want to give myself some grace to do more of the things that I love; because you should not hold back on the things that bring you the most joy.

Thanks for reading through some of my 2021 goals! I am incredibly excited to see what the year ahead brings! I'd love to know what some of your goals are this year! Let me know in the comments below or DM me on Instagram! Wishing you a year of peace, prosperity, and hope! Happy New Year!

xoxo, Chelsea
